PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood efficiently collecting contaminated air rising from a range in cooking by partial ventilation. SOLUTION: The range hood comprises a hood 3 having a main suction port 1 in a lower face and an exhaust port 2 in a top face; a blower 5 provided in the hood 3 and having a first suction port 4 in a lower face; and a contaminated air collecting part 9 having an auxiliary suction port 8 on the inner side of the front side. A discharge port 6 of the blower 5 communicates with the exhaust port 2 of the hood 3, and the first suction port 4 serves for communication between the main suction port 1 and the auxiliary suction port 8 to form an exhaust ventilating passage 7. Contaminated air left uncollected by the main suction port 1 and likely to leak from the front of the hood 3 or likely to escape from the hood 3 out of contaminated air rising from the range is collected by the contaminated air collecting part 9 and the auxiliary suction port 8.
