Magnetic structural components (10, 10'') are utilized to permit construction of a wide variety of structural profiles. The structural components (10, 10'') include a number of magnets (26a-26e, 26a''-26e'') operatively associated with a periphery thereof to provide a number of points of magnetic connection. In addition, each structural component (10, 10'') has at least one mechanical connector (23, 23''), such as slots (34, 34 ''), to provide at least one point of mechanical connection. At least one of the slots (34'') has a magnet (26f'') operatively associated therewith to provide another point of magnetic connection. The structural components (10, 10<1>) are interconnected to form a cruciform shape (50). |
