A multi-dimensional loop tip structure is provided that is capable of nav igating through a tortuous body lumen. The multi-dimensional loop tip struct ure includes two or more loops or partial loops at the distal end of the str ucture. The structure may alternatively include three or more legs at the di stal end of the structure. The loops or legs allow the structure to continuo usly realign itself to the center of a body lumen that it is being navigated through when encountering impediments therein.
