<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a service stop time of a VoIP server apparatus during maintenance for software revising etc. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes assigning a virtual IP address A to the server apparatus 10 which transmits/receives packets to/from IP terminals 70 and 71. Further, the method includes: associating an IP address B used by VoIP server software 30 with the virtual IP address A; and activating second VoIP server software 32 while the VoIP server software 30 receives a packet addressed to the virtual IP address A and provides VoIP service. Then an IP switching control unit 40 changes the association with the virtual IP address A to association with a second IP address C used by the VoIP server software 32. Consequently, a packet addressed to the virtual IP address A can be received by the VoIP server software 32, and VoIP service is changed to VoIP service by the VoIP server software 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
