PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wing type shield machine capable of efficiently drilling a tunnel in a sectionally circular shape or in a sectionally modified symmetrical shape, not in the sectionally circular shape. SOLUTION: A wing type shield machine capable of drilling a tunnel TR in a sectionally circular shape or in a sectionally deformed symmetrical shape, not in the sectionally circular shape, has a swing center Q at both sides of the tunnel TR with a right and left symmetrical line RL as a boundary and over the center O of the tunnel. A pair of cutter bit fixed vane plates 14 are provided thereon where a number of cutter bits 21 for cutting are arranged in the radial direction of swing perpendicular to the direction of swing to be reciprocatingly oscillated in a preset angle range. The pair of cutter bit fixed vane plates 14 have contour portions 14A in a shape matching to the contour line of the cross section of the tunnel and include a number of cutter bits 22 for cutting arranged along the contour portions 14A and a copy cutter provided for avoiding cutting remainders. |
