A gas can mounting apparatus for a portable gas burner is provided to prevent leakage of gas at the time of or after mounting of a gas can in a case. A gas can mounting apparatus for a portable gas burner includes a case(4) and a threaded press unit(3). The case has a front surface on which a gas supply pipe(21) of a governor(2) is equipped. The case accommodates a gas can(7). The threaded press unit is equipped on the rear surface of the case such that the threaded press unit rotates to press a rear part of the gas can and interconnect an outlet of the gas can and the gas supply pipe.
