A drive module, a manufacturing method of the module, and a timepiece fitted with the module is provided to optimize silicone region for manufacturing the module by optimizing all parameters. A drive module(13) intended to engage with a clock wheel(28) includes a MEMS type micromotor(36) having at least one actuator(38,40) rotating a rotor(42), and a plate(30) which is made of crystalline or amorphous material and comprises a lower layer forming a substrate and an upper layer in which the micromotor is etched. In the drive module, a pinion is rotatably and coaxially connected to the rotor and disposed above the rotor the pinion being provided to engage with the clock wheel in an engagement zone(70) located close to an outer peripheral edge(72) of the plate, and the rotor is disposed on the plate in order to minimize the distance between the outer peripheral edge of the rotor and the outer peripheral edge of the plate corresponding to the engagement zone, wherein the diameter of the pinion is larger than that of the rotor so as to protrude relative to the plate into the engagement zone. |
