PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for improving a visual acuity by using a pair of intraocular lenses. SOLUTION: The standard or optically adjustable intraocular lenses are combined with this optically adjustable "piggyback lens" in such a manner that the piggyback lens may correct every visual acuity defect which is not coped with by a first lens.
