<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, capable of enhancing detection accuracy of an object from a photographic image while reducing the effect of difference in brightness. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor comprises an image acquisition part 10 acquiring a right image Im1 and a left image Im2 by a camera 2R from image signals of color images output from cameras 2R and 2L of RGB specification; a parallax calculation part 11 calculating a parallax of each pixel by performing correlation calculation between images obtained by converting Im1 and Im2 to HSI images and applying a Gabor filter to H component of each pixel, and determining a distance map Lmap between each pixel and a vehicle 1 from the parallax; an optical flow calculation part 12 determining an optical flow Oflw from time-series images obtained by converting Im1 taken at different times to HSI images, and applying the Garbo filter to H component of each pixel; and a tracking part 13 detecting the object using the distance map Lmap and the optical flow Oflw. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
