PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide suitable method and device for assembling a sealing element capable of preventing the sealing element from being damaged during the assembling process and capable of bending plate strips as specified. SOLUTION: This assembling device 100 is used for composing a lock mechanism for preventing the sealing element 42 disposed in a rotor 23 on the front side from being displaced in the circumferential direction U. The assembling device comprises a fastening device 104 for securing the assembling device 100 to the rotor 23 and a bending device 102 secured to the fastening device 104. The bending device comprises a punch 112 movably pivoted on the bending device for manufacturing a fixing part by bending a part 65 of the plate strips 30 disposed on the sealing element 42 into recesses 66 formed in the rotor 23. The assembling device further comprises a fixing mechanism 130 for securing the sealing element 42 against the undesirable displacement of the sealing element in the circumferential direction U during the bending process.
