PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method, a part program, and a program for generating a part program which can perform measurement at an optimum measurement condition by allowing a measurement condition to be changed and can improve measurement accuracy. SOLUTION: The measuring method measures the size and shape of a subject on the basis of a preset measurement procedure by referring to subject data and a preset measurement condition. The measuring method includes a measuring step of performing measurement in accordance with the subject data and the measurement condition, a measurement condition display step of displaying the measurement condition at an arbitrary time from the time of start of measurement to the time of end of measurement in the measuring step, and a measurement condition rewriting step of, under the condition that the measurement condition is being displayed by the measurement condition display step and when the measurement condition has been changed, rewriting to the changed measurement condition and continuing the measuring step.
