The proposed method for applying a nanostructured material onto articles, in particular tiles, glass and the like, includes the following work steps : preparation of a liquid, not gelatinized precursor obtained by solvolysis of titanium compounds (IV); application of a film of the precursor to the surface of an article; - heat treatment of the compound formed by the article and the precursor, so as to cause the gelation of the latter, and the subsequent conversion of the precursor in the nanostructured material.
