REDUCED CHANNEL QUALITY INFORMATION FEEDBACK METHOD

A method for feeding back reduced channel quality information is provided to prevent degradation of the capacity of uplink according to feedback by stopping feedback of CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) with respect to a sub-frequency band having channel quality of below a certain level. A frequency band of a system is divided into a plurality of sub-frequency bands. The first sub-frequency band having the highest CQI is selected among the sub-frequency bands, and a CQI of the selected first sub-frequency band as one of CQI levels of the first sub-frequency band. A CQI of the second sub-frequency band lower than that of the first sub-frequency band is indicated as one of CQI levels smaller than the number of CQI levels of the first frequency band. The CQI of the first sub-frequency band is transmitted. The CQI of the second sub-frequency band is transmitted.
