FLAT FLUORESCENT LAMP AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THEREOF

A flat fluorescent lamp and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve uniformity of its luminance by preventing mercury gas from moving to adjacent channels due to temperature variation in the channel. Plural channels are placed in parallel on a first substrate(110), and a second substrate(120) is bonded to the first substrate along an edge thereof to maintain airtightness of the channels. A connection channel(112) connects the channel, and has a cross section of one end or both ends larger than that of a center portion. A passage adhesive(113) is applied on an inner surface of the connection passage, in which after gas is introduced in the channels, the adhesive is molten by heat to interrupt the connection passage. Surface electrodes(141) are formed on both ends of the channel in a direction crossing the channel. Rear electrodes(142) are formed on both ends of the second substrate.
