PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly obtain passing power in a converter disposed between first and second power supplies. SOLUTION: A converter apparatus 30 is provided between a secondary battery 10 as the first power supply and a fuel cell 12 as the second power supply, and comprises three converter circuits connected in parallel. Two differential current meters 54, 56 are disposed in three reactors corresponding to three converter circuits. A control section 40 includes: a passing power calculating module 42 for calculating power passing through the converter apparatus 30 based on detection values from two differential current meters 54, 56; a power equalizing module 44 for equalizing the passing power between the converter circuits for composing the converter apparatus 30; a drive phase number changing module 46 for changing the number of drive phases in the converter apparatus 30 in response to the passing power; and a voltage conversion controlling module 48 for controlling the converter apparatus, and implementing a desired voltage conversion.
