<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated system allowing a user to complete a passing processing at an entrance of a toll road only by himself/herself even when the user forgets inserting an ETC card into an onboard device. <P>SOLUTION: The toll collection system includes: a first radio facility 13 for forming a first radio communication area 22 between first and second sensors 11 and 12 arranged in a passage for a passing processing installed at a toll gate of a toll road, and for performing a passing processing by radio communication with the onboard device 6 in a vehicle 10; a road-side indicator 24 for displaying an urging message to re-insert the ETC card 7 in case the passing processing is not completed by the first radio facility 13 when the vehicle 10 is detected by the second sensor 12; and a second radio facility 17 for forming a second radio communication area 23 for relieving at least in front of the location of the second sensor 12 and performing a passing processing by radio communication with the onboard device 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
