<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust preventing device for a joint improved in durability of the joint connecting a drive shaft member to a driven shaft member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This dust preventing device is applied to the joint having a joint case 11 and an inner member 13 incorporated therein, and has a boot 21 and a boot fixture 31. The boot 21 has a cover portion 24 and a flange portion 23 abutting on the end surface 11a of the joint case 11, and is fixed to a joint shaft member 18 by a fixing portion 25 connected to the cover portion 24. The boot fixture 31 has a fitting portion 32 fitted around the periphery of the joint case 11 and a pressing portion 33 axially pressurizing the flange portion 23 between the joint case 11 and the pressing portion.
