A gateway apparatus for linking different kinds of networks, and a method and a recording medium thereof are provided to perform efficient communication without a help of an upper layer for an uplink stream transmitted from a WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network) to a backbone network, use the bandwidth of a Wibro(Wireless Broadband) backbone network efficiently for bandwidth requested according to a PAN as the sensor nodes of an LR(Low Rate)-WPAN are increased or decreased, and vary a QOS policy requested according to the PAN. A binding table(2252) stores relation between a connection ID(Identification) for bandwidth setting and service flow IDs for QOS(Quality Of Service) policy setting according to the ID of a PAN(Personal Area Network) device. An IP(Internet Protocol) map table(2253) allocates an IP address according to the ID of the PAN device and stores the allocated IP address if the PAN device is initiated. A binding module(2251) requests an uplink BS(Base Station) to transmit the connection ID for a PAN device, of which the bandwidth is changed, if the bandwidth of an arbitrary PAN device is changed, and sets the binding table with the connection ID allocated by the BS.
