VEHICULAR DRIVE SUPPORT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support system for avoiding a possibility of collision in giving way by transmitting a message to a target vehicle and providing information based on the message in consideration of travelling environments of one's own vehicle and other vehicles. SOLUTION: An ECU 5 of the system includes the target vehicle specification block 5A for specifying the target vehicle in a relationship to give way for the own vehicle from a travelling state of the own vehicle and information of other vehicles; a control block 5B for controlling transmission of a message permitting to give way for the relevant vehicle or information provision based on the message; and an information provision block 5C for displaying a message of "AFTER YOU" received from the target vehicle. The control block 5B inhibits the transmission of the message or the information provision with a message in a predetermined travelling environment that, the own vehicle or the relevant vehicle to give way has a possibility of collision with another vehicle.
