<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless tag communication device for suitably suppressing influence of transient response. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless tag communication device comprises: signal transmission adjusting parts 28, 36 capable of suppressing transmission of received signals from a receiving antenna 24 to a DSP 16 as a reception processing part; and a signal transmission control part 46 for controlling the signal transmission adjusting parts 28, 36 so as to suppress transmission of the received signals from the receiving antenna 24 to the DSP 16 at least when transmission signals including the modulation signal are transmitted from the receiving antenna 22. Accordingly, the device can suitably suppress occurrence of failure, such as collapse of leading parts of reply signals by a wrap-around signal from a transmitting party, and can achieve suitable communication especially when the wireless tag 14 starts to reply.
