PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery that maintains a fixing force between a membrane-electrode assembly and a fuel storage part by a cover plate for a long period of time and uses liquid fuel. SOLUTION: The fuel battery is provided with a fuel battery cell (a membrane-electrode assembly), which has a fuel electrode, an air electrode, and an electrolyte membrane, and a fuel storage part 3 that supplies liquid fuel to the fuel electrode via an opening part. Each claw part 19 of the cover plate is caulked while being bent along the end face of the fuel battery cell and the wall face of the fuel storage part 3 so as to fix the fuel battery cell to the fuel storage part 3. Each tip 19a of the claw parts 19 is formed into an inclined shape. The fuel storage part 3 is provided with each caulking receiving part 20 that has a bottom shape engaged with the inclined shape of each tip 19a of the claw parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
