The method involves collecting noise and vibration in a vehicle (10), and adjusting an operating point of a drive section. A constant transmission output performance of the vehicle is maintained. The adjustment of the operating point and the maintenance of the performance include an adjustment of a motor rotation speed of the vehicle under utilization of a throttle valve or transmission gear or ignition system (40) of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for system for controlling a noise and vibration in a vehicle.
