COMPACT SELF-BALLASTED FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp which can reduce temperature of a smoothing electrolytic capacitor even if a small mouthpiece or a double voltage type lighting circuit is used.

SOLUTION: A cover 14 on an end part of which there is fixed a mouthpiece 15 is provided on a non-fluorescent tube side of a circuit board 16 on which a lighting circuit for lighting up a fluorescent tube 12 is formed. A smoothing electrolytic capacitor 17 composing the lighting circuit is arranged alongside an inner surface of the cover 14, and a lead wire 18 is bent and mounted on the circuit board 16. As a result, a positioning of the smoothing electrolytic capacitor 17 is arranged with a predetermined distance from the circuit board 16 and an effect of heat from the circuit board 16 can be mitigated.
