PURPOSE:To uniformly preheat and dry a dip pipe from the inner and outer peripheries and to easily discharge dropped material by tangentially arranging plural high-speed burners around a furnace casing, inclining the hearth, and providing a manhole at the lowermost part of the hearth. CONSTITUTION:Plural high-speed burners 6 are tangentially arranged in a line on the outer periphery of the circular-sectioned furnace casing 2 of the vacuum degasification device 1. Meanwhile, an inner cylinder 3 is coaxially hung in the furnace casing 2, and an attachable/detachable conical head 4 is provided at the top. The hot gas from the burners 6 are spirally passed in the direction as shown by the arrow between the dip pipe 5 and the inner periphery of the casing 2 and the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 3 to preheat and dry the dip pipe 5 deposited with a base metal 5' from the inside and outside. The exhaust gas is discharged under the guidance of the head 4 without being slowed down flow velocity of the gas. Since the heart 7 is inclined, the dropped material S is efficiently slid and collected in one place and discharged from the manhole 9 at the bottom. An appropriate number of cushioning members 8 are furnished to the frame 11 of the furnace casing at different places to mitigate the impact of the dropped material, and the service life of the furnace casing 2, etc., is prolonged.
