SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REALIZING MULTI-LANGUAGE CONFERENCE

A system for realizing multi-language conference includes: conference terminals for processing speech of the conference and sending it to a multi-point control unit, and for processing the audio data received from the multi-point control unit and outputting it. At least one conference terminal acts as an interpreting terminal that interprets the speech according to the audio data transmitted from the multi-point control unit, then processes the interpreted audio data and sends it to the multi-point control unit. The multi-point control unit mixes the audio data from the conference terminals to different sound channels according to different languages, and then sends the mixed audio data to the conference terminals. A method for realizing multi-language conference is also provided. In the multi-language conference system, when speeches are in different languages, each conference site can participate in the conference by selecting one kind of language.
