PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sorting glass tubes by which the glass tubes can stably and accurately be sorted in a glass tube manufacturing speed ranging from low speed to high speed. SOLUTION: The apparatus for sorting out the good glass tubes from the defective glass tubes when a glass original tube continuously drawn into the tubes is cut to have a prescribed length and falls downward has a good product transporting conveyer for receiving falling glass tubes and transporting, a defective product disposal part provided opposite to the good product transporting conveyer and a guide member connected to a rotary shaft of a rotatively driving source to slant the guide face to the good product conveyer side and rotating around the rotary shaft in the guide face in-plane direction between the good product transporting conveyer and the defective disposal part. The guide member is positioned so that the guide direction of the guide member is nearly vertical to the tube drawing direction of glass original tube to receive the falling glass tubes and to sent to the good product transporting conveyer when the glass tubes are good products and rotates to a position parallel to the tube drawing direction of the glass original tube to prevent the interference of the falling when the glass tubes are defective.
