<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel controller for vehicle for avoiding a collision with a vehicle running behind. <P>SOLUTION: The controller includes a rear object detection means for detecting an object approaching from behind of one's own vehicle; a rear collision prediction means for predicting a collision between the rear object and the own vehicle; and a travelling control means for controlling an acceleration/deceleration speed of the own vehicle.
