PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detection device and its manufacturing method, having excellent waterproofness and excellent durability, capable of absorbing a thermal expansion difference caused by an environmental temperature or self-heat generation from a sensor component, avoiding damage of the sensor component even when a vibration or an external force is applied thereto, and reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This device is formed by performing compression molding of a sensor 4, an electrode terminal 5, a cable core wire 6, a cable insulation coating 7, a cable cover 8 and a fixing metal fitting 21, in the covered state with a thermoplastic elastomer or a material showing rubber elasticity.
