PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous reproduction system by which respective reproduction devices can more simply be synchronized with each other without compressing a transmission band. SOLUTION: An amplifier 200 includes: a receiving unit 210 for receiving multimedia data via the Internet 410; a separating unit 220 for separating audio data from the multimedia data; a synchronization data generating unit 250 for generating synchronization data based on the relevant audio data; and a synchronization data transmitting unit 260 for transmitting the relevant synchronization data to a set-top box 100 via an infrared communication path 420. The set-top box 100 includes: a receiving unit 110 for receiving multimedia data via the Internet 410; a separating unit 120 for separating image data from the multimedia data; a synchronization data receiving unit 150 for receiving synchronization data via the infrared communication path 420; and a matching unit 160 for determining image data to be reproduced based on the synchronization data.
