PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can be viewed on both sides, by using a substantially transparent semiconductor circuit and a single display element. SOLUTION: The display device 100a, which can be viewed on both sides, while the reflection-type display element 20a is used as a display element, can be obtained by arranging an electrophoresis type display 20a having whitish charged particulates 23 in a solvent 24, in which blue dye is dissolved on the substantially transparent semiconductor circuit 10 which is produced by forming a thin-film transistor by forming a gate electrode 11, an auxiliary capacitor electrode 2, a gate insulating film 13, a semiconductor active layer 14, a source electrode 15, and a drain electrode 16, and then forming an inter-layer insulating film 17 and a pixel electrode 18.
