<p>An air conditioner in which air that bypasses a filter is prevented from being sucked to the heat exchanger side even if the installation position of the filter is displaced. The air conditioner has an air conditioning mechanism (X) in which a heat exchanger (7) and a fan (8) are arranged in an airflow path (5) running from an inlet opening (3) up to an outlet opening (4) so as to lie from the front side to the upper side of a casing (1); a cleaning mechanism (Y) that removes dust adhered to the surface of a thin plate-like filter (13) placed so as to be movable along the inner surface of the inlet opening (3), the cleaning mechanism (Y) removing the dust while moving the filter (13) from a position at which the filter (13) exhibits a predetermined filter function, and then the cleaning mechanism (Y) returns the filter (13) to the position at which the filter (3) exhibits the predetermined filter function; and a buffer plate (35) that, after the filter (13) is installed in position after maintenance, or in the return operation of the filter (13), prevents air not passing the filter (13) at a return operation limit of the filter (13) from being sucked to the heat exchanger (7) side. When the filter (13) is returned after cleaning by the cleaning mechanism (Y), the buffer plate (35) prevents air that does not pass the filter (13) from being sucked to the heat exchanger (7) side.</p> |
