A COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE EXTRACT OF FRAXINUS RHYNCHOPHYLLA OR FRAXIDIN ISOLATED THEREFROM TO TREAT TOXOPLASMOSIS

An extract of Fraxinus rhynchophylla is provided to show little toxicity and resistance on living bodies and have the toxoplasma inhibitory activity, thereby being used for treating toxoplasmosis. A pharmaceutical composition for treating toxoplasmosis comprises 0.1-50 wt.% of an ethanol extract of Fraxinus rhynchophylla as an effective ingredient, wherein the extract is obtained from fraxini cortex of the Fraxinus rhynchophylla. The composition further comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, an excipient or a diluent.
