PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit of which the length in an optical axis direction can be shortened. SOLUTION: The optical unit includes: a plurality of photographic lens groups movable in the optical axis direction by rotary driving of a drive cylinder 18; an electric unit disposed inside the drive cylinder 18 and movable in the optical axis direction by rotary driving of the drive cylinder; a flexible printed board one end of which is connected to the electric unit; and a plurality of finder lenses 21, 22, 23 movable in the optical axis direction by rotary driving of the drive cylinder 18. The drive cylinder has a plurality of cam parts 21c, 22c, 23c disposed next to one another in the optical axis direction so as to correspond to the plurality of finder lenses 21, 22, 23. The drive cylinder 18 also has a through-hole 18f formed along a circumferential direction and capable of receiving the inserted flexible printed board.
