PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pile from being retained at a high level due to settling resistance acting on a weldlessly bonded portion of the pile when the pile having the weldlessly bonded portion protruding outward from the periphery of the pile, is settled in the ground. SOLUTION: A restraining member (jig) 10 for dispersing earth pressure outward is mounted on the pile at a location under the weldlessly bonded portion 50 consisting of an inner ring 30 and an outer ring 40 for connecting between an upper pile 20a and a lower pile 20b, and the pile is settled down while settling resistance occurring at the weldlessly bonded portion is diminished. The restraining member (jig) 10 is an annular jig externally fitted to the periphery of the pile, and as indicated by an arrow 61, the earth pressure is dispersed outward to avoid increase in the settling resistance.
