<p>A field emission device and a method for driving the same are provided to increase the number of electrons to be condensed on a cathode by forming an electric condenser layer with a ferroelectric material and coating an anode on the electric condenser layer. A field emission tip unit(140) is formed on a first surface of a cathode(122). The field emission tip unit is electrically connected to the cathode. A first anode(121) is formed opposite to the field emission tip unit. An electric condenser layer(150) is formed on a second surface facing the first surface of the cathode. A second anode(160) is arranged opposite to the second surface. The electric condenser layer is positioned between the second anode and the second surface. The electric condenser layer is formed of a ferroelectric material.</p>
