A method for preparing polyvinyl-vinylacetate copolymers is provided to reduce a reaction time by adding a vinyl chloride monomer continuously, control a content of vinylacetate easily, and produce the polyvinyl-vinylacetate copolymers suitable for the manufacture of vinyl composite tiles. A method for preparing polyvinyl-vinylacetate copolymers includes the steps of: (a) adding up to 50 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride monomer to an initial reaction mixture comprising a vinylacetate monomer, a polymerization initiator, and a cellulose-based suspension, and initiating a polymerization reaction at 40-70 ‹C; and (b) thereto adding 50-100 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride monomer continuously to perform suspension polymerization. The polymerization initiator is used in an amount of 0.01-0.04 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the vinyl chloride monomer.
