A portable terminal having an illumination device is provided to mount an EL(Electro-Luminescence) sheet on an EL sheet mounting unit formed on a lower side of a mold material after coating a film on a surface of the mold material by in-mold injection, thereby preventing the transformation of the EL sheet. A housing(10) is equipped with illumination units(20) from which light is emitted to the outside. An EL sheet(30) is attached to a lower side of the housing, and generates light which illuminates the illumination units. The housing is composed of display window areas for displaying information or key areas for inputting information, and the illumination units are formed in the rest parts except the display window areas and the key areas.
