PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal in which a head portion is hardly missed or erroneous operation hardly occurs when starting reproduction. SOLUTION: In a portable telephone set 10, a first case 12 and a second case 13 are able to perform two-axis rotations by a hinge part 11. In the second case 13, a main display 17 and a speaker 18 are provided inside. Inside the first case 12 and the second case 13, magnetic sensors 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d are provided for detecting a state of the portable telephone set 10. In the first case 12, an operating key 14 and a side key 16 for inputting various instructions are provided on the inside and on a lateral side, respectively, and a microphone 15 is provided in a lower part of the operating key 14. The portable telephone set 10 detects, using the magnetic sensors 19a, 19b, 19c, 19d, a turn-over state where the first case 12 and the second case 13 are folded while turning the main display 17 to the outside and automatically starts reproduction of a content in response to the detection of the turn-over state.
