PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity of a manager storing a rejected banknote discriminated as a defective due to damage etc. in a money depositing process, and to treat it as money deposition information of a device in a closing operation. SOLUTION: The rejected banknote discriminated as a defective due to the damage etc. by a banknote discriminating unit 22 in a money depositing process is accumulated at a banknote depositing and dispensing slot 21, then the rejected banknote with indefinable denomination which cannot be deposited conventionally can be accepted by conveying and storing the rejected banknote into a rejected banknote storage 26 from the banknote depositing and dispensing slot 21 after a cashier inputs denomination and its quantity.
