PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of finally stepping both of an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal. SOLUTION: The accelerator pedal 30 and the brake pedal 40 have treads 32 and 42 stepped by a driver of a vehicle. Contact pressure sensors 34 and 44 capable of detecting pressure applied to the substantial whole of the tread, are arranged on the under side of the tread. A control part 100 calculates a rate to the whole tread of a pressure-applied part in the contact pressure sensor 44 of the brake pedal 40, and determines that brake operation is intended by the driver when its rate is a predetermined threshold value or more. A throttle-off signal is issued to an engine control ECU of the vehicle in response to this determining result. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
