PIERCING ADAPTER AND ULTRASONIC PROBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piercing adapter used for piercing a puncture needle by means of an ultrasonic probe with an insertion section to be inserted into the living body which guides a puncture needle stably and facilitates removal of the puncture needle, and also to provide an ultrasonic probe.

SOLUTION: The piercing adapter 3 has a first cylindrical member 31 having a notch on its cross section. The notch extends from one end to the other end of the first cylindrical member and has a width larger at least than a guide groove 11 of the ultrasonic probe 1. The first cylindrical member is arranged on the outside of the insertion section to cover the guide groove and to be freely rotatable circumferentially along the insertion section.
