<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake structure for an internal combustion engine capable of ensuring normal drive of an airflow controlling valve. <P>SOLUTION: This intake structure for an internal combustion engine includes: an intake passage 22 which is communicated with a combustion chamber of a gasoline engine and through which air to be supplied to the combustion chamber flows; and a valve 31 which is provided in the intake passage 22 and which controls the airflow. In the intake passage 22, a recessed part 41 which is recessed from the inner wall 22 of the intake passage 22 and in which the valve 31 is arranged, and a groove 51 that is connected to a generally-central part of the recessed part 41 in a width direction of the recessed part 41 orthogonal to the airflow in the intake passage 22, and that extends from the recessed part 41 toward the downstream side of the airflow in the intake passage 22 are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
