PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device designed so that its structure is simple and the relative position of a hold member relative to a fixing member is changed while appropriate viscosity attenuation is ensured. SOLUTION: The lens drive device includes: the hold member 36 that holds a correction lens for correcting an image blur; a fixing member 31 that supports the hold member 36 so that the hold member is movable within a plane perpendicular to an optical axis; a drive means for changing the relative position of the hold member relative to the fixing member; and an attenuating agent 45 disposed between the hold member and fixing member and having a transition range in a band area of 0.3 to 100 Hz.
