<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting relay system and its method, which relays broadcasting waves, even in the place which the broadcasting waves do not reach without a special facility to take in the broadcasting waves from terrestrial route. <P>SOLUTION: Broadcasting signals with multiplexed images, voices, etc. are transmitted from a broadcasting station 1 to a transmitting device 2. The IP packetizing unit 211 of the transmitting device 2 carries out the IP packetizing of the broadcasting TS (Transport Stream) signal. Then creation of an IP header for communication including an address of a relay device 3 and error correction, are carried out. A transmission control unit 22 transmits the created IP packet through an IP network 4. In a relay device 3, the received IP packet is reconstructed for the broadcasting TS by a TS reconfiguration unit 32, an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation broadcasting unit 35 changes the reconstructed TS signal to OFDM modulation and a broadcasting frequency, based on a synchronization signal by a synchronization signal generation unit 34, and broadcasts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
