PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide front structure of a vehicle cabin improved in degree of freedom of positioning of an operation panel. SOLUTION: The front structure of a vehicle cabin is provided with a rotary shift device 7 near the driver's seat in the vehicle cabin. The shift device 7 comprises a housing 11 provided with a plurality of notches 29 corresponding to each shift position in a cylindrical side surface thereof, a shift knob 9 fitted to the housing 11 freely to be pushed in the axial direction of the housing 11 and rotate in the circumferential direction, and a compression block 13 to be moved with the shift knob 9. The compression block 13 is integrally formed with a projecting part 31 to be locked with the notches 29 of the housing 11 and a support pin 37 connected to the shift knob 9.
