PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the temperature within an operation guarantee range in a data recording device equipped with a magnetic disk device. SOLUTION: This disk recording device includes a hard disk drive pack 10 and a control unit 12. A temperature sensor and a heater are disposed in the hard disk drive pack 10, and a temperature sensor and a heater are also disposed in the control unit. The temperature is detected by each temperature sensor. When the temperature is equal to or less than a predetermined temperature, the heater is operated to apply heat, thereby enabling a data recording operation. The temperature in the data recording device is detected by another temperature sensor.
