PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone capable of automatically suppressing noise caused by vibration at call arrival when the mobile phone set to a silent mode is put on a desk or the like. SOLUTION: The mobile phone is provided with a sound notification unit 11 for notifying the call arrival by sound; a vibration notification unit 12 for notifying the call arrival by vibration; a switch 1 for setting a notification mode from either a sound notification mode by the sound notification unit 11, or a vibration notification mode by the vibration notification unit 12; a light sensor 14 provided on a front face side of a case for detecting external light; a contact sensor 15 provided on a back face side of the case for detecting contact with a foreign object; a sensor output determination unit 16 for determining if both a light detection signal from the light sensor 14 and a contact detection signal from the contact sensor 15 are output, and outputting a vibration intensity control signal BI if both detection signals are output; and a vibration intensity changing unit 13 for lowering a vibration intensity level of a vibration motor 3 based on the signal BI when the mobile phone is set to the vibration notification mode.
