PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device and an information recording method which can surely erase the area of a predetermined length to be continued to the area where target data are recorded. SOLUTION: In a step S601, the speed is switched to the rotational speed of recording time. In a step S602, target data is recorded. In a step S603, the speed is switched to the rotational speed of erasing time lower than that of the recording time.
