<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a characteristic from being degraded due to an attachment attached to a heating resistive element. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal is provided so as to be separated from a terminal for measuring an air flow rate. The heating resistive element can be maintained at a high temperature only when the terminal is connected to a power supply. The attachment accumulated on the heating resistive element is burned and removed by maintaining it at the high temperature. As a result, since the attachment attached to the heating resistive element can be removed, a change in the characteristic of an air flow rate measuring apparatus with the heating resistive element is prevented, and an internal-combustion engine is controlled so as to accurately measure the quantity of inhaled air for a long time, and a replacement of a new component due to a degradation in the characteristic is eliminated.
