METALLIC SILICON AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
摘要
<p>A metallic silicon produced by purifying molten crude metallic silicon through unidirectional solidification, which metallic silicon has a purity of 3N to 6N and an average crystal grain diameter of 1 mm or greater. The process for producing the metallic silicon comprises unidirectional solidification of the molten crude metallic silicon placed in a container containing fine silica in its inner circumferential layer at a rate of 1 mm/min or less and further cooling thereof to 200°C or below at a rate of 2°C/min or less.</p>
